MOAS Ukraine Receives Critical Medical Aid from the Government of Malta

Infusion kits and essential drugs donated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism will support frontline operations to save lives.

MOAS is delighted to announce that the critical medical supplies recently donated by the Government of Malta, through the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, have arrived in Ukraine and will be utilised across MOAS Ukraine’s frontline operations.

The donation includes infusion solutions, essential medications, and additional supplies. These are the everyday items that make a real difference when lives hang in the balance, the tools medics rely on daily to stabilise, treat, and save patients in the most challenging conditions.

MOAS’ mission in Ukraine started in 2022 at the very beginning of the fullscale Russian invasion and managed to save 70.000 lives so far, and counting. The brave team of 150 all-Ukrainian doctors, medics, and drivers is deployed just off the front line, providing medical evacuation of injured soldiers thanks to a fleet of 52 state-of-the-art ambulances and an ambulance bus.

The Hon. Dr Ian Borg, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, stated that this donation of medical supplies is a further demonstration of Malta’s steadfast commitment to supporting Ukraine. Since the onset of the war, Malta has undertaken a range of diplomatic and humanitarian efforts, including initiatives during its tenure as an elected member of the UN Security Council and as Chair-in-Office of the OSCE in 2024. “We are maintaining this commitment through our 2025 Presidency of the Council of Europe, as we prioritise ongoing efforts to ensure justice and accountability for the crimes of aggression against the people of Ukraine.”

Christopher Catrambone, MOAS Founder, remarked: “In the crucible of conflict, even the smallest medical provisions hold immense power over life and death. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Government of Malta for this critical and timely donation. This directly enhances our operational capacity on the ground and serves as a vital assurance to our Ukrainian colleagues that they are supported. Each delivery is a lifeline, and every gesture of solidarity reinforces our unwavering commitment to our mission, even when under fire.”
