MOAS is present in Ukraine to bring medical relief and first response services to those impacted by the escalating violence across the country. We are deploying multiple Mobile Medical Teams alongside ambulance services and pharmaceutical aid to assist as many people as we can.
The humanitarian situation in Ukraine is quickly deteriorating. Civilians, children, women, elderly people who remain in the country are very vulnerable and are facing the devasting impact of the war. There is a shortage of food, medicines, medical assistance, while innocent people live in constant fear for their lives.
Regina Catrambone, MOAS co-Founder and Director, says:
“Emerging information on the widespread impact on the Ukrainian civilian population of the Russian invasion is both worrying and utterly unacceptable. Our sincerest hope was for a democratic and non-violent conclusion to the activities of the past months, but in light of the new military action and the intense risk it brings to children, women and men across the country, our focus must now is on rapidly deploying aid and humanitarian services in support of those in need. MOAS and our teams are doing all we can to ensure we intervene efficiently and effectively to the best of our ability and will continue to do so for as long as we are able.”
